We have been hard at work on making this year’s Real Ale Ride (Sat Oct 31) the best ever with some fun Halloween themes and activities for the whole family. However, given the global situation with Covid19, we’ve seen a number of Texas cycling events scheduled for this Spring postpone to the Fall. Many of these events are the main driver for social awareness and/or fundraising for a variety of groups and causes in the Central Texas area.
We realize that carrying forward with this year’s Real Ale Ride will only further crowd an already packed Fall cycling calendar and make it harder for all to have successful events.
With that being said, we at Real Ale feel we’d better serve the cycling community by supporting more of the events this Fall with your favorite ice cold Real Ale brews and postponing the Real Ale Ride until Saturday May 15, 2021. Go ahead and save the date- we’ll plan to open registration this fall. In the meantime we hope you’ll continue to up the hills and down the beers and support some of the great events below.
Area Cycling Events this Fall
LBJ 100 – Johnson City – Oct 10
Castell Grind – Llano/Castell – Oct 17

The Real Ale Ride is one of our most popular events! Rolling through the scenic hills of Blanco, TX, this year it will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020. It’s a ride for all cyclists, with distances of 15, 30, 50, 65, and 80 miles to choose from. Routes are fully supported and they all end at Real Ale Brewing Company for a post-ride celebration with local beer, music, and food trucks.
Stay tuned for the full details and registration info!
