Real Ale Brewing Co. has been crafting beer in Blanco, Texas since 1996. Since whiskey starts as beer, just without hops, distilling was a natural next step.
By preserving the flavor that develops during fermentation, we create spirits that carry the character of the beer they came from — layered, expressive, and unmistakably Real.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country, we stay grounded in the simple things — fresh air, open spaces, and working with our hands.
We use local ingredients whenever possible, from lavender grown in Blanco to pecans from the river valleys, Hill Country citrus, Fredericksburg peaches, and even bottle brush leaves, to create spirits that reflect not just our process but our place.
We brew specific Real Ale beers as the base for our spirits, using carefully selected yeast to build natural fruit and spice character from the very start.
We distill in a copper alembic still, refining the spirit through multiple runs while preserving the flavor built during fermentation.
Our gin and Totem are infused with select botanicals, fruits, nuts, herbs, and spices to elevate the character created in fermentation.
Our whiskey is aged outdoors in new American oak barrels, where the Texas Hill Country climate shapes flavor, texture, and character over time.
We currently ship to most U.S. states, including Texas. Due to state regulations, we are unable to ship to South Dakota or Utah at this time.
All alcohol orders are processed and fulfilled by licensed third-party retailers within the Bottle Nexus network. This ensures compliance with state and federal alcohol regulations.
Orders typically process within 2–3 business days, then ship via UPS or another approved carrier. Delivery times vary by location. A 21+ signature with valid ID is required at delivery.
