Wild Dill Farm wants you to experience making your own soap using skin-loving ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil and more.
Soap making is a combination of cooking and chemistry. In this class you will learn the basics of all natural hot press saponification and the many ways you can play and change your end results. You will go home with a detailed handout that you can refer to again and again, as well as two bars of your custom blended soap. This will be a fun Mother’s Day option or just a good time with friends. And of course, a beer is included with class! Our friends Ant’s Spot Food Truck will be on site all day.
During the hands-on portion of class each small group will be provided with all of the supplies, equipment, and guidance to:
-Select and blend essential oils to fragrance your soap
-Select additives and coloring
-Mix your own lye solution
-Mix and pour the soap into the mold
Brave Ceramics presents Thumbprint Whiskey Glasses, and of course, whiskey samples are included!
Join artist Tina Williams of @BraveCeramics for a beginner-level pottery class where you’ll hand sculpt your very own whiskey tumbler!
In this hands-on workshop, Tina will guide you through the process of building two custom clay cups that perfectly complement your favorite Real Spirits Whiskey. Using rolled-out clay pieces, you’ll create a whiskey tumbler from scratch and have the opportunity to add personalized textures and designs to the outer surface of your pottery.
Towards the end of the class, you’ll get to choose your tumbler’s color, which will be professionally applied to enhance its final look. After the class, your masterpieces will be taken back to the studio to be slowly dried, fired twice in a kiln, and glazed by Tina herself.
